Til højre ses Richard Spreckels-house, han var nevø af sukkerbaron Spreckels.
Huset har været beboet af mange berømtheder som Ambrose Bierce og Jack London, som skrev sin klassiske White Fang fra 1906 mens han boede her. I 1960’erne blev huset anvendt som studio for Greatful Dead, og i 1970’erne var huset ejet af musikeren Graham Nash fra Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
